The Trischool Site Council will meet on Tuesday, October 2nd  3:30 – 5:00 in the Havens Library.  Everyone is welcome to join!

One item on the agenda will be a continuation of the world language review.  Last year, this included discussions of the benefits of early language learning and the feasibility of a K-5 world language program during the school day.

The four Mandarin tones

Classes are underway for students in grades K-6 in Spanish (through a partnership with Viva El Espanol) and Mandarin before and after school. There has been growing demand for language over recent years, and PLS is working hard to find the space to accommodate families on its wait list.

We are so excited to welcome our new crop of global citizens!

PLS is also working with the district to support the ongoing World Language Curriculum Review this year, to continue to accommodate growing demand and interest in world language among our youngest kids, and to ensure the strongest possible world language program for our 7-12th graders.

PLS hosted a station inviting guests to pin their favorite spot in the world at the spring 2012 Carmen-themed CHIME gala.

PLS also provided name tags in multiple languages from which guests could choose.
