About Us

Our Mission

Piedmont Language School is committed to preparing and inspiring children for continued study, work and citizenship in our global community.  We will support, advocate and create opportunities for world language learning and cultural exposure for all children in Piedmont and local schools.

Our History

The Piedmont Language School was founded 44+ years ago by a group of visionary Piedmont parents who passionately believed that children should have the chance to learn world languages during the elementary school years, when language learning comes most naturally to them. Since then, thousands of students have been introduced to Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese and French through Piedmont Language School programs, gaining a head start in becoming global citizens.

Our Programs

Our dedicated team of native-speaking teachers follow a developmental program. Beginners’ classes start with a foundational oral approach and then advance to reading and writing as students’ knowledge grows.

The Piedmont Language School currently offers classes in Spanish and Mandarin to children from TK to 7th grade.

We are committed to bringing language and culture to as many children as possible and offer scholarships on a need basis.

We are always happy to hear your feedback or answer any questions you may have. We are a parent-run organization and your ideas and participation are always welcome.
