Want to get to Cuba on a kid-friendly trip before waves of American travelers wade onto its long-forbidden shores and walk in its time-warped cities?

Join Viva el Español Founder and Director, Margaret Grover-Roos or Director, Elementary School Programs, Carla Brown
on this culturally rich adventure!

Discover the real Cuba on this multi-destination 10 night trip taking you through western Cuba’s highlights – with activities for kids and adults alike.

Cruise Havana’s history-infused streets in a classic car and stroll along Trinidad’s cobblestone avenues to the rhythms of music floating from open windows. Enjoy a catamaran trip to a remote beach, hikes to amazing caverns and through waterfalls, snorkeling on coral reefs, visit farms on horseback or mountain bike, and learning about Cuba’s revolutionary past.

This trip is designed for families with an adventurous and flexible spirit! Overnights in homestays offer an immersive Cuban experience few travelers get to enjoy.  Kids ages 8+ (no exceptions).

While diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba resumed in January 2015, getting to Cuba still involves jumping through some hoops.  We will travel under one of 12 approved categories “Educational Activities”. Our flight path will take us through Mexico City as US airlines are still not allowed to fly to Cuba.

The time to go is now, to see the authentic Cuba.

Viva el Español is offering two trips that coincide with the majority of Spring Break vacations from school. Click below to download the itineraries.  Both are identical, just with different dates.  Note that kids will need to miss 2 days of school either way.
